This "19" theory was actually put forth long back by one Rashad kalifa who proclaimed himself as Allah's prophet, succeeding Muhammad nabi. In order to prove himself , he tried this 19 concept. But he failed miserably. This concept was proved wrong many a times by many scholars ..
The mathematical interpretation on number 19 with the holy Quran is very much illogical and far from truth. 19 has neither any significance nor any relation with quran.
This theory actually tries explain that there are several words (or sentences or any other factors) in the Holy Quran that, when mathematically counted, will be a multiple of numeral 19.
In support of this theory, Rashad kalifa had put forth few instances like the total number of chapters in Quran, number of "bismillah", number of the words Allah, Rahman, Raheem etc.
He might have had a wrong notion that noone would sit and count how he had counted them. But to everyone's surprise, none of his examples suited!
The total count of the word Allah, he said, was wrong. The total count of the word Rahman, Raheem all wrong !!
Only count that supported his argument was the count of chapters - 114, which, as he had said, is a multiple of 19 (19 x 6 equals 114).
But this too, could only be considered a mere coincidence and nothing more than that.
Reason is that, this 114 not only is a multiple of 19 alone ! 114 is a multiple of 2, 3 ,6 & 38 too. If because 114 is multiple of number 19 and hence 19 is significant in Quran, we could even say, all the above numerals have the same significance. Isnt it?
He said about "ism", which comes 19. Let us see whether it really comes. Before that, Why its ISM ?
What does this mean? Ism doesnt have any logical meaning in it. It is the Bismi from which he removed B (or the arabic letter ba). To divide a single word into just for the sake of attaining his motive, is simply ridiculous !
And that too, the count is not 19. But the total number of words ism in Quran is 14. There are few places where it comes in connection with "al", like Al Ismu, bil ismihi etc..
Such, are totally 10 in number. So, even then, the total number of the word ism will be 24 and no where it is 19 !
About the number of the word Allah, in Quran, it is not 2698. But it is 2811.
There are 113 Bismillaahs in each of the surahs, that contains the word "Allah", This was not added in his count. But, if he is genuine and logical in his mode of calculation, he should have ignored all 114 Bismillahs (one on verse 27:30 too), and then he should have showed the total count to be matching ! But to the surprise, if he had removed 114 bismillahs, the count of Allah would be 2697 and not 2698.
2697 will not be a multiple of 19. Hence, in order bring it to a multiple, he now needs 1 more word "Allah", So he picked one bismillah (out of 114 bismillahs !!).
Logically saying he should either ignore 114 bismillahs and bring a total count of 2697 of the word Allah OR
he should have added 114 bismillahs too, and should bring a total of 2811 !
Neither would be a multiple of 19 !!
About the word "Raheem", 114 is wrong.
As earlier, he had left the word raheem in 113 Bismillahs. ( But had considered bismillah of verse 27:30, as he did for the word Allah).
And, to another surprise, the verse 9:128 has a raheem, which he had not counted at all !
So, the actual count of the word Raheem would be 228.
Atleast, if ignoring the bismillahs (113), the count will only be 115.
Neither would be a multiple of 19
Similar is thee case with Rahman too. It should be 57 plus 113
And he has said, the total number of surahs, is 114 which is a multiple of 19. Yes, this is the only correct statement given b him.
But, this 114, is a multiple not only for19. It is a multiple for 2 , it is a multiple of 3, 6, and 38 also. So, nowhere there is a specific importance for 19 here.
But, as he correlates everything to numeral 19, I can correlate to any other number i wish.
For example, surah count is 114, which is a multiple of 2
The word Allah according to him falls 2698 times. This is a multiple off 2
The word raheem, according to him comes 114 times. This is a multiple of 2
The word raheem according to the correct calculation comes 228 times. This is a multiple of 2
The word ism (that solely come,s without connecting words) comes 14 times. This is a multiple of 2
The word ism along with connecting words (like al ismu, bil ismihi etc) is 10. This is a multiple of 2
The word rahman totally comes (his count 57 plus the rahman in 113 bismillahs) as 170 which is a multiple of 2
So, we could better say numeral 2 has more significance than numeral 19 !!
